SEN Learning Support Assistant (Part-time, Term-time)

About the role

The School is seeking a part‑time SEN Learning Support Assistant to work 33.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during term time with an additional five inset days for training. You will support learners aged 2‑19 with severe learning difficulties, autism spectrum conditions and sensory impairments, working closely with teachers and other LSAs to enhance classroom experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted assistance to small groups of learners in classroom settings.
• Implement and monitor individualized learning plans.
• Support behaviour management and promote positive social interaction.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation and delivery.
• Record progress and communicate observations to the teaching team.

Required profile

• Adaptive, creative and enthusiastic with a genuine passion for supporting learners with special educational needs.
• Team‑player who is flexible, calm and caring.
• Willingness to learn; prior experience is desirable but not essential.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills required; a commitment to learning and supporting SEN learners is essential.
