About the role
We are seeking experienced SEN Primary Teaching Assistants to support children with Special Educational Needs across schools in Tunbridge Wells and surrounding areas. The role can be taken on as ad‑hoc daily supply work, short‑term contracts, or longer‑term full‑time or part‑time positions starting September 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to primary pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs.
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering inclusive lessons and managing classroom activities.
- Implement individualized support plans and monitor pupil progress.
- Maintain a safe, supportive learning environment in line with school policies.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years experience supporting SEN pupils in a primary school setting (preferred).
- Confidence working with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and speech & language difficulties.
- Patient, proactive and passionate about making a positive difference.
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications (desirable but not essential with suitable experience).
- Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (or already on the Update Service).
