SEN Provision Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Tower Hamlets)

About the role
This full‑time, long‑term position supports pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within a specialist provision at a primary school in Tower Hamlets. The role starts in September and offers a daily rate of £95‑£115, depending on experience.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with autism, speech and language difficulties, ADHD and complex learning needs.
- Deliver targeted interventions and personalised learning strategies alongside class teachers, SENDCo and therapists.
- Assist with sensory activities, behaviour management and, where required, personal care.
- Promote pupils' communication, independence and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day.
Required profile
- Experience working with children who have SEND, including autism, ADHD or complex needs.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Patient, resilient, proactive and excellent communication skills.
Required skills
- Knowledge of SEND best practices and intervention techniques.
- Familiarity with behaviour management strategies.
