SEN / SEMH Teaching Assistant – Temp-to-Perm

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant to support primary and secondary pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs in a specialist school in East Grinstead. The role involves working 1:1 and in small groups to help students engage with learning, manage behaviour and build confidence.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for students with SEMH needs.
- Assist pupils in engaging with the curriculum and developing positive behaviour strategies.
- Build trusting relationships and act as a consistent adult presence.
- Collaborate with a close‑knit, supportive teaching team.
- Contribute to a structured, therapeutic classroom environment.
