SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant

About the role
We are looking for a passionate SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in St Albans. You will work closely with teachers, the SENCO and the wider staff team to provide tailored support for pupils with additional needs.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEN.
- Assist children with autism, communication, social and emotional needs.
- Implement personalised strategies to enhance learning and development.
- Promote confidence, independence and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with teachers and contribute to individual support plans.
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school setting.
- Patient, nurturing and positive attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Genuine passion for inclusive education.
