About the role
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Support Nursery Practitioner to join our Bright Horizons Gaynes Park Nursery in Upminster. This full‑time position involves creating a safe, inclusive environment where children with special educational needs can thrive and enjoy learning.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, develop and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities tailored to each child's developmental needs.
- Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework while adapting it for SEN requirements.
- Maintain a safe, supportive setting that encourages children to express themselves and explore.
- Collaborate closely with parents, carers and colleagues to monitor progress and adjust strategies.
- Ensure rigorous safeguarding and child protection practices are followed at all times.
Required profile
- Full Level 3 (or higher) Early Years qualification.
- Passion for creating fun, inclusive learning experiences.
- Strong understanding of EYFS and SEN principles.
- Excellent communication skills for building trust with families and staff.
Required skills
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Ability to develop strong partnerships with parents and colleagues.
