SEN Support Teaching Assistant – Southwark

About the role

Remedy Recruitment Group is partnering with mainstream primary schools in Southwark to provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs. This temporary, full‑time position starts in September 2026 and offers flexible days across South East London.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑to‑one assistance to pupils within mainstream classrooms.
• Support pupils in accessing lessons, activities and personalised learning plans.
• Assist teachers and SENCOs in meeting EHCP targets and developing confidence.
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and independence.
• Maintain safeguarding and child‑protection standards at all times.

Required profile

• Experience supporting children with SEN or additional needs.
• Knowledge of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, SEMH or speech and language difficulties.
• Patient, nurturing and reliable approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
