SEN Teacher and Learning Support Assistant roles in Southampton

About the role
Teaching Personnel is partnering with SEND schools and specialist provisions across Southampton and the wider Hampshire area to recruit qualified SEN teachers and Learning Support Assistants. These positions are available immediately and offer the chance to make a meaningful impact on pupils with additional needs.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, SEND‑focused lessons tailored to individual pupil needs (Teachers).
- Assess, track and report on pupil progress.
- Work closely with LSAs, SENCOs and the wider school team to create a safe, structured, inclusive learning environment.
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management (LSAs).
- Help create a nurturing environment for children with SEND, SEMH or other additional learning needs.
Required profile
- Qualified teachers holding QTS or equivalent.
- Experienced Learning Support Assistants or teaching assistants.
- Passion for supporting pupils in SEND settings.
- Willingness to hold an enhanced child‑only DBS check.
