SEN Teacher – Full‑time (Temporary‑to‑Permanent)

About the role
We are seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to join schools across Bedford on a temporary‑to‑permanent basis. You will deliver high‑quality, differentiated lessons and create an inclusive environment where every child with special educational needs can thrive.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual SEN pupils.
- Support students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and other learning difficulties.
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCOs and wider school staff.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting strategies as needed.
- Build relationships with parents, carers and external agencies.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Previous experience working with pupils with special educational needs.
- Strong understanding of SEN strategies and effective behaviour management.
- Patient, adaptable and committed to helping every child succeed.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
