SEN Teacher – Full‑time (Temporary‑to‑Permanent)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to join schools across Bedford on a temporary‑to‑permanent basis. You will deliver high‑quality, differentiated lessons and create an inclusive environment where every child with special educational needs can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual SEN pupils.
• Support students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and other learning difficulties.
• Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCOs and wider school staff.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting strategies as needed.
• Build relationships with parents, carers and external agencies.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Previous experience working with pupils with special educational needs.
• Strong understanding of SEN strategies and effective behaviour management.
• Patient, adaptable and committed to helping every child succeed.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
