SEN Teacher

About the role
We are looking for a passionate SEN Teacher to join our client schools in London from September 2026. You will work with pupils who have Autism Spectrum Disorder and Severe Learning Difficulties, many of whom rely on alternative communication methods.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Develop and support students' communication skills using AAC methods.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and families.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Provide personal care support when required, maintaining dignity and respect.
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with students with ASD and/or SLD.
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
- Strong commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
- Willingness to support personal care needs.
Required skills
- Proficiency with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) systems, including communication devices, PECS and visual supports.
