SEN Teacher – Primary (Autism & Learning Difficulties)

About the role
This position is for a qualified SEN Teacher to join an outstanding primary SEN school in South East London. The school supports children with autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties and a range of additional needs.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess a rich, varied curriculum for small KS2 classes (6‑8 pupils).
- Work closely with teaching assistants to provide targeted support for pupils with ASD, SLD, ADHD, SLCN, epilepsy and Down syndrome.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and multidisciplinary teams to develop individual education plans.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the school’s safeguarding and welfare policies.
Required profile
- Qualified teacher with experience in primary special education.
- Demonstrated ability to work with children who have autism and severe learning difficulties.
- Commitment to inclusive education and continuous professional development.
Required skills
- Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and related learning challenges.
- Experience creating and implementing individualized learning plans.
- Ability to work effectively with teaching assistants and support staff.
