SEN Teacher – Primary Class (Moderate Needs)

About the role

Join a leading specialist SEN school in Ealing as a primary class teacher for learners with moderate needs, developmental and communication delays. You will work with a small group of 7 Key Stage 1‑2 students who are performing below national attainment levels.

Key responsibilities

• Teach a small class of moderate‑needs ASD students, delivering a sensory‑rich curriculum.
• Support the development of communication, independence, life‑skills and well‑being.
• Collaborate daily with teaching assistants, therapists and specialist staff.
• Track progress against EHCP outcomes and celebrate meaningful achievements.
• Apply specialist approaches such as PECS and Makaton (training provided).

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN or a strong desire to transition from mainstream teaching.
• Experience or interest in working with autistic or complex‑needs learners.
• Passion for creating sensory‑focused, inclusive lessons.
