SEN Teacher – £2,500 Joining Bonus

About the role

St Elizabeth's Centre is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join its specialist school and sixth form. You will work with a small group of learners aged 5‑19 who have complex needs, delivering personalised education that balances academic progress with life‑skill development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver tailored lessons across a range of abilities and learning needs.
• Support learners in developing independence, communication and everyday life skills.
• Collaborate with Learning Support Assistants, therapists and families to create a cohesive learning environment.
• Maintain a positive, structured classroom atmosphere that motivates progress.
• Monitor, assess and celebrate learner achievements, contributing to EHCP outcomes and person‑centred planning.

Required profile

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
• Experience working with SEND learners, preferably in a post‑16 setting.
• Creative, adaptable and nurturing teaching approach.
• Strong communication, teamwork and safeguarding commitment.
