SEN Teacher – Secondary School (Hackney)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist secondary school in Hackney starting September. The role involves delivering differentiated lessons for pupils with a range of additional needs and contributing to a supportive, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual SEN profiles.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to monitor progress.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to individual education plans.
• Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing across the classroom.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience teaching Autism, ADHD, SEMH, MLD or similar needs.
• Strong classroom management and ability to differentiate instruction.
• Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
