SEN Teacher – Special Educational Needs & SEMH

About the role
We are seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team in Gloucester, supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) requirements. This term‑time only position offers a nurturing environment where wellbeing, relationships and personalised learning are central.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to SEN and SEMH pupils.
- Create a safe, structured classroom that promotes emotional regulation.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support academic and personal growth.
- Collaborate closely with support staff, therapists and families.
- Implement positive behaviour strategies and adapt teaching approaches as needed.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with SEN and/or SEMH pupils (preferred but not essential).
- Resilient, compassionate, patient and strong relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to teach across a broad curriculum (primary or secondary).
