SEN Teacher – Specialist School (Riseley Green)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher to join the founding team of Riseley Green School, a new specialist school in Riseley, Berkshire. You will help shape the culture, curriculum and future of the school while delivering personalised learning for pupils with special educational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative and differentiated lessons across a range of curriculum areas.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet a wide variety of SEN requirements, ensuring every pupil can succeed.
• Create a positive, nurturing classroom environment that promotes safety, respect and motivation.
• Support pupils’ confidence, independence, emotional wellbeing and personal development.
• Collaborate with the Headteacher and colleagues to shape the new school’s curriculum.
• Assess, monitor and celebrate pupil progress, using data to inform future planning.
• Build strong relationships with families, external professionals and colleagues.
• Uphold safeguarding standards and promote the welfare of all pupils.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• Enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate about inclusive education.
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with pupils, families and staff.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and wellbeing.
