SEN Teacher – Specialist SEND School

About the role
We are partnering with a specialist SEND school in Gravesend to recruit a dedicated SEN Teacher. The role starts in September 2026 (or ASAP) and offers a supportive, child‑centred environment where teamwork is central.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for pupils with ASD, communication difficulties and complex needs, aligned with EHCPs.
- Teach small classes with strong TA support.
- Collaborate closely with SENCOs, therapists and other support staff.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to individual progress plans.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Minimum of one year UK teaching experience.
- Previous experience in a SEND setting is desirable.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Required skills
- Knowledge of ASD and other special educational needs.
- Ability to adapt lessons to meet EHCP requirements.
- Experience working with teaching assistants and multidisciplinary teams.
