SEN Teacher – Specialist Setting in Southwark

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist provision in Southwark. You will work with pupils aged 4‑19 who have a range of complex special educational needs, delivering a highly differentiated curriculum in a supportive, structured environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver small‑class lessons tailored to autism, severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, and related communication needs.
• Work towards each pupil’s EHCP outcomes, promoting independence and life‑skills development.
• Support positive behaviour and create an engaging, structured learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate closely with therapists, support staff, and families to ensure holistic support.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognised SEN teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching pupils with additional or complex needs.
• Familiarity with autism, severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties is desirable.
• Ability to commute to Southwark and start immediately on a full‑time basis.

Required skills

• Experience delivering differentiated curricula for diverse SEN groups.
• Knowledge of EHCP planning and implementation.
• Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
