SEN Teacher – Specialist Setting

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist setting in Bristol. The role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional learning needs and delivering differentiated lessons that meet individual requirements. You will work closely with support staff and other professionals to foster academic, social and emotional development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.
• Support pupils with a variety of SEN and complex learning needs, including Autism, SEMH, ADHD and challenging behaviour.
• Promote positive behaviour and build strong relationships with pupils.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and other professionals.
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to individual education plans.
• Create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• A patient, adaptable and nurturing approach.
• A genuine passion for supporting pupils to reach their potential.
