SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support for Students (Slough)

About the role
The school in Slough is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one‑to‑one support for pupils aged 11‑16 with special educational needs. Working from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, you will help each child build trust, develop positive routines and engage fully in their learning journey.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 assistance to a designated student with SEN, tailoring support to individual needs.
- Establish consistent, trusting relationships and promote positive daily routines.
- Support emotional regulation and manage challenging behaviours.
- Encourage active participation in classroom activities and personal development.
- Serve as a positive role model both in school and community settings.
Required profile
- Patient, resilient and proactive attitude.
- Passionate about supporting young people with special needs.
- Comfortable acting as a behaviour mentor across schools, youth centres, libraries and the child’s home.
- Committed to making a long‑term impact on the student’s development.
