SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support in Chatham

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for children with Special Educational Needs in primary schools across Chatham. This role offers a chance to make a meaningful difference to pupils’ learning journeys and overall wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver personalised 1:1 assistance to pupils with SEN, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD and behavioural needs.
- Support small groups of students, adapting activities to meet individual requirements.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, sharing updates with teachers, parents/carers and external agencies.
- Participate in CPD activities and obtain any required accreditation.
Required profile
- Experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant is highly desirable.
- Holding an L2 or L3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience with children with SEN in an educational or pastoral setting is preferred.
- Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Right to work in the UK.

- Knowledge of SEN categories such as SEMH, ASD, ADHD and behavioural challenges.
