SEN Teaching Assistant – Bath (£90‑£100 per day)

About the role

Hanson Recruitment is partnering with several schools in Bath to provide term‑time SEN Teaching Assistant roles. You will work during school hours, supporting children with special educational needs and helping them achieve academic and social progress.

Key responsibilities

• Provide dedicated one‑to‑one and group support to SEN pupils and assist the class teacher.
• Support pupils’ academic development and encourage independent learning.
• Promote participation in classroom and school activities.
• Assist with behaviour management and social‑emotional development.
• Follow all school policies on safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour.

Required profile

• Experience working with children who have additional needs, preferably in an SEN setting.
• Early Years Practitioner Level 2 or higher, or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Relevant higher or equivalent qualifications.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Availability to work 08:30‑15:30 on weekdays during term‑time.
