SEN Teaching Assistant – Bromley (Full‑time)

About the role
We are seeking a patient and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 4‑19 in a specialist setting in Bromley. You will work closely with teachers and therapists, providing one‑to‑one and small‑group assistance to help pupils access learning, develop communication skills and achieve their EHCP outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with autism, severe learning difficulties and complex communication needs.
- Assist teachers in adapting learning materials and strategies to meet individual needs.
- Promote independence, positive behaviour and a calm, structured classroom environment.
- Collaborate with therapists to reinforce therapeutic goals during daily activities.
- Monitor and record pupil progress against EHCP targets.
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN, preferably autism, SLD, PMLD or complex needs.
- Confidence in managing communication, behaviour and learning challenges.
- Ability to commute easily to Bromley and start immediately.
- Patient, proactive and able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Required skills
- Experience with autism, severe learning difficulties and related communication needs.
- Knowledge of EHCP frameworks and inclusive education practices.
