SEN Teaching Assistant (Complex Needs) – Full‑time

About the role

This full‑time position supports a secondary‑school student with complex medical and care needs. Working closely with school staff and external agencies, you will provide one‑to‑one assistance throughout the school day, helping the young person achieve their educational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver dedicated 1:1 support during all school activities.
• Assist with personal care, toileting and feeding, following strict allergy protocols.
• Support safe arrival and departure each day.
• Encourage independence wherever possible.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff and external professionals.

Required profile

• Previous experience in SEN, care, support work or healthcare.
• A caring, patient and resilient attitude.
• Confidence in providing personal care.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people.
