SEN Teaching Assistant – Early Years (Full‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Good-rated primary school in Blackpool. The position is full‑time (08:30‑15:30) within the Early Years Foundation Stage, supporting pupils with special educational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum to SEN pupils.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support, adapting activities to meet individual needs.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, sharing observations with teachers and parents.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions related to SEN provision.

Required profile

• Experience working with children who have special educational needs is desirable.
• Commitment to a full‑time academic year placement, starting September.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check and provide professional references.
