About the role
Join a specialist school environment in Ely as a SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs during term time. You will work alongside teachers, therapists and support staff to help pupils achieve academic, social and personal goals.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, MLD and SLD.
- Promote confidence, independence and positive engagement with learning.
- Assist with emotional regulation, behaviour support strategies and personal care where required.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other staff to deliver tailored interventions.
Required profile
- Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Patient, caring and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
