SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist independent day school that supports students aged 6 to 19 with a range of special educational needs. The SEN Teaching Assistant will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, providing high‑quality support to help learners achieve their educational and personal goals.

Key responsibilities

• Support students’ learning, development and progress across the curriculum.
• Assist in varied settings, including classroom, local environment and community outings.
• Provide personal care and physical intervention when required.
• Promote equality, diversity and respect for all learners.
• Work closely with the therapy team to manage complex medical, sensory and behavioural needs.

Required profile

• Passionate and compassionate about supporting young people.
• Willing to work towards fully funded qualifications.
• Ambitious, solution‑focused and a strong team player.
• Educated to at least Level 2 Maths & English (or equivalent).
• Committed to safeguarding and best practices.
