SEN Teaching Assistant – Full‑Time

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming special school in East Sussex. The role starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to support children with a variety of additional needs in a nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH and complex learning needs.
• Assist with learning activities, communication development, emotional regulation and personal development.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists and the wider SEN team to implement individual education plans.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and contribute to daily classroom routines.

Required profile

• At least 6 months’ experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs.
• Patient, caring and resilient attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
