About the role
We are seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in Hertfordshire on a full‑time, long‑term supply basis. You will work closely with students who have special educational needs, providing personalised support that enables them to succeed academically and socially.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver one‑on‑one assistance to SEN pupils during lessons and activities.
- Support the classroom teacher in adapting learning materials to meet individual needs.
- Facilitate personal development and social integration for students.
- Monitor progress, record observations, and share feedback with teachers.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and collaborative planning.
Required profile
- Experience or training in supporting students with special educational needs.
- Strong communication skills and genuine empathy.
- Passion for helping children with additional learning requirements.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
