SEN Teaching Assistant – Grade 3 (Part Time Mornings)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Grade 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Year 5 and Year 6, with flexibility to work in Years 3 and 4 as needed. The role is part‑time, five mornings per week, and is based in a Church of England primary school in Cheltenham.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored support for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
• Deliver planned interventions to raise attainment and progress.
• Monitor and record pupil progress in line with SENDCo and senior leadership guidance.
• Observe and evaluate pupils’ responses to learning activities.
• Support behaviour management and pupil wellbeing.
• Supervise pupils during breaks and movement around the school.
• Plan and deliver small‑group activities.
• Complete intervention records and required documentation.
• Apply the National Teaching Assistant Standards in daily practice.
