SEN Teaching Assistant – Greenwich (Full‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a highly regarded special‑needs school in Greenwich. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide a safe, nurturing environment for pupils with autism and a range of learning difficulties.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher with daily lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Provide personal care support, including feeding and changing, as required.
• Support pupils during classroom activities and off‑site trips.
• Collaborate with up to three other support staff to ensure consistent, high‑quality care.
• Help maintain a well‑resourced and organised learning environment across EYFS, primary and secondary sites.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a school setting, care environment or as a support worker.
• Comfortable working with children aged 2‑19 who have autism and moderate to severe learning difficulties.
• Ability to follow safeguarding procedures and promote pupil welfare.
• Flexibility to start as soon as possible and commit to a long‑term role.

Required skills

• Experience supporting pupils with autism and severe learning difficulties.
• Knowledge of personal care tasks such as feeding and changing.
• Team‑working skills to collaborate with teachers and other assistants.
