About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in the London Borough of Hackney. The role starts in September 2026 and is full‑time, covering term‑time only.
Key responsibilities
- Support learning activities across the school, including whole‑class cover when required.
- Assist teachers with planning, preparation and assessment.
- Deliver targeted interventions to help pupils progress.
- Work closely with children of varying abilities, including those with special educational needs.
- Provide one‑to‑one support to students as needed.
Required profile
- Minimum of 1 year experience supporting students with SEN.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Confidence leading groups and delivering interventions.
- Passion for supporting children’s learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
