SEN Teaching Assistant

About the role

Cromwell Medical Staffing Limited is seeking compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with special educational needs in schools across London and the South East. You will work directly with pupils, helping them overcome learning barriers and thrive both academically and socially.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with SEN.
• Assist teachers in delivering inclusive, engaging lessons.
• Support students with learning, communication, behavioural, emotional and social development needs.
• Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour‑support strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, carers and specialist professionals.
• Encourage independence, confidence and participation in school activities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Flexibility and strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
