SEN Teaching Assistant

About the role

Are you a Psychology graduate eager to gain practical experience supporting young people with additional needs? A secondary SEN school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for aspiring educational or clinical psychologists, therapists, or teachers who want hands‑on experience with a variety of special educational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 and small‑group support tailored to students with SEN.
• Help students develop confidence, independence, and active participation in learning.
• Work alongside teachers to promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Observe and monitor students' progress, wellbeing, and engagement throughout the school day.

Required profile

• Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting young people.
• A confident communicator with a genuine passion for working within SEN.
• Interested in gaining practical experience before pursuing a career in psychology or education.
• Able to build strong, positive relationships with both students and colleagues.
