SEN Teaching Assistant – Milton Keynes

About the role
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive school community in Milton Keynes. You will work closely with pupils who have Special Educational Needs, providing one‑to‑one and classroom support to help them achieve academic and personal growth.
Key responsibilities
- Provide classroom and 1:1 assistance for pupils with ASD and other additional learning needs.
- Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver engaging, tailored learning activities.
- Encourage pupil participation, confidence, and independence.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents where appropriate.
- Support pupils' emotional wellbeing and academic progress throughout the school day.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN, including 1:1 support (essential).
- Patient, caring, and committed to helping children succeed.
- Experience working in a school or similar child‑focused setting.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to use initiative.
