SEN Teaching Assistant – Part‑time & Contract Roles in Bromley

About the role

We are seeking caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across primary, secondary and special schools in Bromley. The role involves working closely with teachers to deliver high‑quality, inclusive learning experiences for children with diverse needs.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils during lessons and classroom activities.
• Deliver one‑to‑one and small‑group interventions.
• Encourage positive behaviour and classroom engagement.
• Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
• Provide targeted support for pupils with SEND where required.
• Help build confidence, independence and resilience.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to create an inclusive environment.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Positive, reliable and proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
