SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Ashford)

About the role
We are partnering with a welcoming primary school in Ashford to recruit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant. The role starts in September and offers a temporary‑to‑permanent pathway for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with additional needs such as ASC, SLCN and SEMH.
- Assist children in accessing the curriculum, developing independence and building positive relationships.
- Collaborate with the class teacher to support the wider classroom when required.
Required profile
- Strong experience supporting children with special educational needs.
- Previous work as a SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Active DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain a new DBS.
- Availability to work Monday‑Friday, 08:30‑15:30.
Required skills
- Knowledge of supporting ASC, SLCN and SEMH pupils (desirable).
