SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School, Hackney

About the role

We are partnering with a vibrant, inclusive primary school in Hackney to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. The role starts in September 2026 and runs through July 2027, offering a supportive environment where each day brings new opportunities to make a difference for pupils with special educational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with pupils who require additional support.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning strategies.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support.
• Help create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.

Required profile

• Experience working with children with SEN, either school‑based or in a similar setting.
• A patient, proactive, and positive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s development.
