SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Wandsworth)

About the role

This full‑time position supports children with additional needs in a welcoming primary school in the London Borough of Wandsworth. You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to help pupils reach their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• Assist learning inside and outside the classroom and implement strategies from EHCPs.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Collaborate with class teachers, SENCOs and external specialists.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN, preferably with Autism, ADHD or Speech & Language needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Passionate about helping every child succeed.
