About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join a range of primary schools in Chigwell this September. The role involves supporting pupils with special educational needs to access the curriculum and thrive in a supportive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support for pupils with SEN.
- Implement strategies set out in EHCPs and guidance from the SENCO.
- Assist the classroom teacher in adapting learning activities.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Support pupils with personal care or mobility needs where required.
Required profile
- Patient, resilient and compassionate.
- Experience supporting young people with SEN (school‑based or other settings).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of inclusion and safeguarding policies.
- Commitment to making a real difference in a school community.
