SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools in Wandsworth

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs in primary schools across Wandsworth, starting September 2026. This full‑time, long‑term position offers the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils with ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties.
• Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored learning activities and interventions.
• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to help children access the curriculum and build confidence.
• Monitor student progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and target setting.
• Create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.

Required profile

• Experience working with children with additional needs in a school or care setting.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience).
• Valid Enhanced DBS disclosure (or willingness to obtain one).
• Professional references covering the last two years.
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
