SEN Teaching Assistant – Reading (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Reading. You will work with children aged 5 to 11 who have Autism, ADHD and other complex needs, providing hands‑on support during lessons and promoting a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support children aged 5‑11 with Autism, ADHD and other additional needs during lessons.
• Promote emotional wellbeing and help manage behaviour positively.
• Assist teachers in delivering inclusive learning activities.
• Build trusting relationships to ensure each child feels safe and valued.
• Collaborate with therapists and educational psychologists.

Required profile

• Graduate or student in psychology, counselling, criminology or a related field, or experience in mental health or SEN settings.
• Passionate about supporting children with special educational needs.
• Ability to work full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑3:30 pm.
