SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary (North London)

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in North London. The role supports pupils aged 11‑16 with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties, helping them achieve their individual EHCP targets.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support across the curriculum.
- Adapt resources and deliver targeted interventions to meet personalised learning goals.
- Offer calm, consistent behaviour and emotional support, fostering self‑regulation and social skills.
- Collaborate closely with class teachers, the SENCO and other support staff to monitor progress.
- Assist with break‑times, trips and extra‑curricular activities to ensure inclusive participation.
Required profile
- Experience supporting secondary‑age students with SEN in a school setting.
- Patience, resilience and a positive, can‑do attitude.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Team player who can also work independently.
