About the role
We are looking for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a supportive school environment in Warrington. This full‑time, term‑time role involves both classroom and one‑to‑one support, helping students thrive academically and emotionally.
Key responsibilities
- Provide targeted assistance to students with SEMH needs in both group and individual settings.
- Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning plans and strategies.
- Monitor student progress and relay feedback to teaching staff.
- Build positive relationships and offer consistent emotional support.
- Support the social, emotional and behavioural development of pupils.
Required profile
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (highly desirable).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Calm, patient and empathetic approach.
- Confident driver with access to a vehicle (essential).
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
