SEN Teaching Assistant – SEMH Learning Support (Full‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a supportive school environment in Warrington. This full‑time, term‑time role involves both classroom and one‑to‑one support, helping students thrive academically and emotionally.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted assistance to students with SEMH needs in both group and individual settings.
• Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning plans and strategies.
• Monitor student progress and relay feedback to teaching staff.
• Build positive relationships and offer consistent emotional support.
• Support the social, emotional and behavioural development of pupils.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (highly desirable).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Calm, patient and empathetic approach.
• Confident driver with access to a vehicle (essential).
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
