SEN Teaching Assistant – Supply Cover (Full‑Time Temporary)

About the role

Join Newstaff Employment’s supply cover team as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. You will work across a range of welcoming schools in the South East, providing essential support to children with autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, complex needs, and other additional needs.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEN to overcome daily challenges and achieve learning goals.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students, teachers, and support staff.
• Assist in creating an inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence and independence.
• Adapt teaching materials and strategies to meet individual pupil needs.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
• Patient, calm, and resilient under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to make a difference.
