SEN Teaching Assistant – Support Children with Complex Needs

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a ‘Good’ Ofsted‑rated special school in Gosport. You will work with pupils aged 11‑16 who have complex learning difficulties, autism, speech and language disorders, and other associated needs.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils in daily classroom activities and learning tasks.
• Assist with personal care duties when required.
• Help students overcome barriers to learning and build confidence.
• Participate in and facilitate classroom activities tailored to individual needs.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to deliver a pupil‑centred curriculum.

Required profile

• Passion for working with children with ASD and complex needs.
• Positive, patient and proactive attitude in the classroom.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional child‑related references.
