About the role

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive school in Abingdon. You will work closely with teachers to help pupils with a range of special educational needs access the curriculum and develop essential life skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, complex needs and physical disabilities.
  • Assist students inside the classroom and during extracurricular activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt learning materials and strategies.
  • Help pupils develop social, communication and independence skills.

Required profile

  • Patient, compassionate and committed to supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • Ability to work effectively within a supportive team environment.
  • Strong communication skills with students, staff and parents.
