SEN Teaching Assistant (Temporary Full‑Time)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Milton Keynes on a temporary full‑time basis. You will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and classroom support for pupils with ASD, ADHD, ADD, SEMH and other SEND profiles.
• Implement tailored strategies to promote learning, behaviour management and emotional regulation.
• Adapt lesson materials and activities in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO.
• Build trusting relationships with pupils, fostering a stable and engaging learning environment.
• Monitor academic progress and wellbeing throughout the school day and report observations.

Required profile

• Previous experience working in an SEN setting (essential).
• Proven ability to deliver one‑to‑one support to children or young people.
• Calm, patient and consistent approach to behaviour and learning support.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliability, adaptability and commitment for the duration of the placement.
