About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join a supportive team in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. The role starts in September 2026 and is full‑time, covering term‑time only, with the possibility of daily or whole‑class cover.
Key responsibilities
- Support learning activities across the school, including whole‑class cover when required.
- Assist teachers with planning, preparation and assessment.
- Deliver targeted interventions to help pupils progress.
- Work closely with children of varying abilities, especially those with SEN.
- Contribute to a positive learning environment.
- Provide 1:1 support for students as needed.
Required profile
- Minimum 1 year experience supporting students with SEN.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Confidence leading groups.
- Passion for supporting children’s learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
