SEN Tutor

About the role

We are seeking experienced and compassionate SEN Tutors to deliver one‑to‑one tuition to children in Croydon who are out of school, awaiting specialist placements, or need additional support to access education. The role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference by tailoring engaging sessions to each learner’s unique needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver personalised 1:1 tutoring sessions for students with a range of special educational needs.
• Adapt teaching materials and strategies to support ASD, ADHD, SEMH, anxiety, PDA, behavioural challenges and EHCP requirements.
• Conduct sessions in the pupil’s home, community venues such as libraries, or online where appropriate.
• Monitor progress, provide feedback to families and maintain accurate records of each session.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE or equivalent).
• Proven experience working with SEN pupils.
• Strong behaviour management and relationship‑building abilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
